As a new trader a jump to 5000 from 1000 is huge in a micro....doubling or tripling your money from 1000 to 2000 or to 3000 would be a great option then work up to the bigger lots size, I think this would give the trader more confidence and become a better trader without losing or risking more than what they're comfortable with.

you can manually change the size of your lots/units. You just need to click in the number and not in the arrow menu.
